Fishing Report

December 28, 2009

Well, everyone is getting plowed out. We got about 12 inches of snow over the weekend. I was out plowing on Allen's Bay and Pike Bay today. I will be putting out a couple more of my rental fish houses in the next day or two.

Perch seem to be biting and a few walleye here and there. It is suppose to be colder and clear the next few days and I think fishing will be picking up.

We want to wish all of our family and friends a safe and Happy New Year's! We will be open our regular hours this weekend, 7AM to 6PM. Stop in and say Hi!

Good fishing.

Fishing Report

December 21, 2009

Average ice is between ll and 12 inches now. Some guys are starting to drive out on the lakes with smaller pickups. Just remember to always use caution. Pike Bay and Cass are producing some perch and a few walleye. I am hearing that Winnie has been doing well.

We would like to wish you all a safe and blessed Holiday Season! We will be open from 7AM to 4PM Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day. Merry Christmas to you all.

Hope to see you out on the ice. Good fishing.

We put out some of our spearing and angling houses this weekend. Not the big over nighter's yet. Average ice is about 6 or 7 inches.

Fishing was good out on Pike Bay this weekend and northens have been active on area lakes, with the cold weather.

Give me a call if your interested in fish house rentals. (218) 766-2926.

Fishing Report

December 9, 2009

We will be putting out some of our rental houses this weekend. With the really cold weather, we are making about on inch of ice a night. Big Wolf has about 3 inches of ice and Dixon Lake Resort on the north side of Winnie has about 4 inches and are putting out houses already.

Being we didn't get all that snow that went south and east of us, we are making some good ice on the area lakes. Caution should always be used though! It is still plenty early.

Hope to see you out on the lake.

Fishing Report

December 5, 2009

Well, we are making ice! Some of the small lakes were frozen over yesterday and if this cold weather holds and the winds are light, within a week , we should have some ice on the bigger lakes. I will try to keep you posted and let you know as soon as I can get some of my fish house rentals out.

Remember our sweet horseradish pickles are back and we have Froggy's Sports aprons and reversible ladies bags for sale now in the store. Christmas is coming!

Hope to see you out on that hard water soon.
