Fishing Report

June 24, 2012

Last week fishing was up and down, along with the rains. We are suppose to have a nice stretch of weather this coming week and that means fishing should only improve. They shouldn't be quite so scattered. There are still some minnows going out, but more crawlers and leeches. Continue to work the breaks and bars and in the evenings, shadraps and rapajas in that 6 to 8 foot of water, along the weedlines.

Hope you all had a good weekend. The big 4th of July holiday is just around the corner. Stop by and check us out when your in the area.

See you out on the water.

Good fishing!

Fishing Report

June 19, 2012

Walleye are not as aggresive. Seems they are feeding on mayflies. Water temps are in the 68 to 70 degree range. Shiners are getting hard to trap with the warmer waters and leeches and crawlers seem to be the ticket. Bass have been biting and muskies seem to be active too. Throwing shad raps and rapajas in the evening are working pretty good for the walleye.

We had a great trip to Fort Benning, Georgia. Good weather, no problems with the car and a good flight back to Minnesota for Mia and Gramma Froggy. The graduation ceremony was awesome, really something to see. We are so very proud of Jerimiah! His next duty is at Fort Hood, Texas. He has a few days leave before he has to report at the end of the week. Time goes so fast.

Stop by when your in the area.

Good fishing!

Fishing Report

June 10, 2012

Fishing has been good again this week. Cass Lake is still doing well with a jig and a shiner. We do see more crawlers and leeches leaving the store though. The tournament on Leech last weekend went well and fish were caught using redtails, leeches and also crawlers. Fishing was generally good.

Me and my wife and mom will be heading for Fort Benning, Georgia for my oldest son's graduation from basic training. He is graduating as cav scout. We are so very proud of Jerimiah! Mia and grandma will be flying back to Minnesota on Friday the 15th. Mia has a 10 day leave before he has to report to his next duty station. He thinks it may be Fort Hood, Texas, but only the army knows for sure as of right now. He is anxious to get back to cool Minnesota for a few days!

See you out on the water.

Fishing Report

Walleye bite has been steady and weather has been great. It is nice to get out and do just about anything in this kind of weather. Water temp on Cass on Sunday was 63 degrees.

See you out on the water.
