Fishing Report

October 25, 2011

Well most of the cabins have been buttoned down for the season. They are still finding some walleye deep on Cass, around that 30 to 50 feet. They find them shallower in the evening. Fatheads or rainbows are the minnow of choice.

There are still some crappie and perch fishing going on yet, too. As long as the weather holds out, there will be a few guys out on the lake.

From what we are hearing, duck hunting has been slow. They are picking up a few grouse. Archery hunters are out in the woods, waiting for that big buck and doe.

It is really great to be out, if you can, and enjoy these last great days of fall.

I am hoping to finish our jobs out in Bismarck in the next two weeks and then I will be back around and getting things together for my spear house rentals. I don't know where the summer has gone, but we looking forward to a great winter fishing season.

For your information, our store hours are 7AM to 6PM at this time of the year.

Fishing Report

October 19, 2011

Sounds like it is going to be a nice weekend. Temps back up in the 50's and sunny. Hope you get a chance to come up to the area and get out on the water and enjoy a long weekend. After this weekend, we will be thinking about the deer hunting season and then waiting for hard water!

If you might be interested in spearing, give us a call . Froggy will be putting houses out on Cass this winter.

Have a great weekend everybody!

Fishing Report

October 16, 2011

The wind chased everyone off of the water and out of the woods today. Ralph and I went down to the CSI show in St Cloud and put in our order for winter inventory and the spring inventory. Now it's time to do yearly inventory at the store. Yippeee! Thanks to Ben and Dick, they got a good start on things today.

Stop in and say Hi when your in the area.

Fishing Report

October 12, 2011

Last couple of days have been quiet, not too many fishermen out and about. Everyone is getting their cabins ready for winter. Next week temps will be more in the normal range and if we get a couple nice days, there should still be some good fishing.

Stop in and say hi when you're in the area.

Good fishing!

Fishing Report

October 7, 2011

Things have been slow the last couple of days, with the crazy wind we have been having. Water temperature is still around that 68 degree mark. Sounds like it will be cooling off next week and we should be having normal temps for this time of the year. Some of the the best fall fishing is yet to come, when that water cools off.

There are a couple of guys braving that wind (I guess that is what you would call it) and they are picking up some walleye. Some are finding them in about 18 to 20 feet of water and perch still around the weed lines in about 5 to 7 feet.

Grouse hunters are out and picking up a few. Great time to be out in the woods. Bear hunting will be ending up the end of next week and then it will be time to think about deer hunting. Don't know where the time goes.

I still have a few jobs to finish up in Bismark, and try to get home on the weekends. Won't be long and I will be getting things together for fish house rentals. You can always leave a message for me at Froggy's Sports or call me on my cellphone.

Good fishing!
